Stop 5 on My Summer Tour

I’m all about history this summer as I take a writing break. So wherever I go, I’m not living in the moment, but in the moments that belonged to ghosts. The first photo is from 1837, the New York Knickerbockers. 1837! Seriously, like, that’s awfully close to 1776.
Anyway, did some reading on the history of baseball on the east coast prior to going HERE:

largely to see this guy and others more comely and athletic than the Knickerbockers.

To the amazement of everyone who ever knew me before about 10 years ago, I am a bona fide Yankees fan. I don’t get it either. But I liked Stop 5. It rained. The Yankees won.
